There was a lot of publicity about making a Roth conversion during 2010 and the ability to have the taxable income deferred to 2011 and 2012.

Where do you report the conversion on your federal income tax return?
You report it at Part II of Form 8606.
Check the box at line 19 if you elect to have all of the income for the conversion taxed in 2010, and indicate the amount in the box on the same line. Otherwise, indicate the amounts taxable in 2011 and 2012 on lines 20a and 20b.
