The IRS has set up a web page, Get My Payment, which can be accessed from the IRS home page, www.irs.gov. Taxpayers who haven’t previously provided their bank account information to the IRS for direct deposit may do so for the advance rebate payment using Get My Payment. The IRS also shows the projected date when a deposit has been scheduled on this page.
Taxpayers who want to provide their bank account information will need to provide:
- Their adjusted Gross Income from their most recent income tax return, either 2018 or 2019.
- The refund or amount owed from their latest filed tax return
- Bank account type, account and routing numbers. The account information can’t be updated after the payment has been scheduled for delivery.
Taxpayers may track the status of their payment by providing their:
- Social Security number
- date of birth, and
- mailing address used on their tax return.
